ĜIS REVIDO AL TONNY GOLDMAN

Ni bedaŭras informi vin ke nia longtempa samideanino, Teuntje (Tonny) Goldman, forpasis ĉimonate je la aĝo de 88.

Ŝi estis la vidvino de Tom Goldman, elstara esperantisto kiu mortis en 2000.  Ambaŭ estis aktivaj kaj lojalaj membroj de ESW kaj subtenantoj de niaj agadoj.

Jen la nekrologio en la Washington Post de 24. oktobro:

Teuntje E. “Tonny” Goldman, 88, a Dutch native who for more than a decade belonged to the Welcome to Washington International Club, a nonprofit social organization for international women in the capital area, died Oct. 21 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. She had congestive heart failure, said her daughter Julie Brill.

Teuntje Emma Visser was born in Rotterdam and came to the United States when she was in her 20s to attend Pembroke College, now part of Brown University.

Mrs. Goldman was a naturalized U.S. citizen and lived in Bethesda for nearly five decades before moving to Chevy Chase a few years ago. She was most active in the international club in the 1970s and ’80s.

Her husband of 48 years, Thomas A. Goldman, died in 2000.

Survivors include four children, Daniel Goldman of Timonium, Md., Emma Dominey of Richmond, Julie Brill of Manassas and Robert Goldman of Silver Spring; a stepson, Michael Goldman of Sunnyvale, Calif.; a sister; and eight grandchildren.
